I'm honestly not sure if I want to visit Hogsmeade if there are "new rules" I mean the old rules were bad enough. Being on my best behavior the whole time has ruined the potential fun of many a trip. In conclusion, how many of you are actually going to Hogsmeade on Saturday? And would one of you be willing to buy me some sugar quills? I would ask Anthony but he has a tendency to give away or eat half the supply before it reaches me.

It's not half of them. A little less then half, maybe. And you could trust the safety of your precious sugar quills if you just went to Hogsmeade yourself.

It was at least half my memory is excellent, I never forget these things. I just explained why I don't want to go, there will be more rules. I take it you're going then?

The rules aren't so bad. They're tolerable. Yeah, I'm going -- have to, prefect duties and all.

Tolerance is not always a good thing. Will you promise not to give away half of my sugar quills to the first bird that ask you for some?

Well, it depends if Hannah who asks.

I thought so. You know, I never realized it before but you are very predictable.

Like you wouldn't do the same thing if some bird asked you! I am not predictable -- I can be spontaneous.

Ah but see I'm giving away my own sweets in that scenario, not sweets that belong to someone else. You are not, give me one example of this so called spontaneity.

If Anthony eats half of his supply, and then I buy some and eat half of them, if we both give you the other halves, then you'll have a decent amount.

Or something. In other words, yes, I can buy you some if you want.

That sounds like my best option. Although if neither of you ate half or gave away half I'd be happier but it looks like I'm fighting a losing battle.

In other words, I will take you up on that offer Mandy, thank you.

I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'm going. On the one hand, chocolate frogs. On the other, hyperactive firsties running about like maniacs. I mean they're already bad enough as is, but when sugar is involved it just gets frightening.

Aww but Lisa, you were a firstie once. Don't you remember the joys or running around on a sugar high?

Of course, but I never exhibited any violence. I mean, I've almost had my eye poked out on numerous occasions by the hyperactive sprogs. Honestly, it's like once they eat candy they revert into savage little beasts.

Maybe you can convince them to help in your Lord of the Flies re-enactment? I've never read the book but from what I've heard a bunch of hyper first years would fit some of those roles pretty well? Or am I way off?

Great minds think alike! I've been considering that. While a one woman show would no doubt prove interesting, I'm not sure I could take on all the roles by myself. And the firsties would be well suited to play the "littluns." They're the younger boys in the book and, for the most part, they'd just be playing themselves. You know, I really ought to hold auditions. I could be on to something here.

I'm starting to think that should be the Ravenclaw motto. And I can honestly say that I would pay oh so much money to see that performance.

Nope. Not buying you some. I never have any left by the time we get back.

What a coincidence! I'm not going either. I was actually thinking about finding someone to play chess with me. Want to be that person?

Great minds think alike? That sounds great as long as you don't mind winning every game - chess is not my best game.

Great minds indeedy! And you're in luck! I don't mind winning but I also don't mind thinking of something else to play either. How about exploding snap? Or History of Magic trivia?

Exploding snap is always fun and I was not aware that History or Magic trivia was an official game but it certainly sounds challenging.
